I spent several hours in the studio yesterday finishing some more wrestling bears. On the way to the studio I stopped by the location of the opening-soon San Francisco Rare Device.
I thought it was an empty store and I might find Lisa and Rena painting the walls or something. I was going to see if they needed a latte run. Instead I found a sweet little vintage store called I Spy. The owner Lynnore was friendly and talked about how good she felt about RD moving in. She's tired of retail and is going to concentrate on the vintage business in other ways, like movie sets. It was a nice stop, and I nabbed some lovely vintage Vera scarves for $15 each! What serendipity.
I also did some more tiny suitcases, this time in black and green. I love these!
What else is going on. It's been a while since I updated. Well, on Friday I went white water rafting on the American River with my work (those of us who were interested and able), which was a lot of fun. Brigid and I rode home together and nearly got ourselves killed zipping across three lanes of traffic when we spotted an In-N-Out Burger. Yum!
I went up the night before rafting and spent the evening with Brenda and Tommy. We had an amazing dinner in a restaurant with the odd name of Mulvaney's Building and Loan. Dinner was wonderful and the company was even better. I love spending time with B&T.
whee we are getting visitors already!! give me one more week and it will be lattes all the time :)
suitcases = brilliant btw.
