I went to my gym today at lunchtime, and they were packing boxes. It's closed! Now I have to find somewhere else to come up with excuses not to go to.
Instead I took a little walk around Jackson Square, with its pretty antique shops and high-end design firms. I visited Kartell and Vitra so I could see a Louis Ghost Chair and Alexander Girard wooden dolls up close.
Then I stumbled on the most perfect store, Eden & Eden, on the corner of Jackson and Columbus. It was such a lovely pleasing space, with some choice vintage pieces, jewelry by Scandinavian and British designers, and beautiful home and paper goods. I'll be back, but not until I find a new gym to ignore.
That made me laugh.
