Where I am now is happy with my husband, my friends, my home, and my art. I'm also happy with my job and the people I work with, and I believe that's because I've found a little balance between what I do for a living and what I do for my passion.
I used to write poetry, and I think that if my day job was design or illustration of some kind, I would be blissfully writing poetry at night. But I write for a living, and so I paint at night. I am happy to have both, and I think I'm good at both.
All I really want in addition to those skills is to be able to sing, but we can't have everything.
I can sing.
But what I'd give to be able to draw or paint.
sigh.

You can't have everything. Where would you put it?

Balance is a beautiful thing when you find it. Congratulations. It's what we all strive for. I think I'm close.
