A gorgeous weekend in the city. On Saturday, we spent the day in the studio. I did a lot of painting, and helped India Rose make a leprechaun trap to bring to kindergarten.
Saturday night was the opening, and it was enormous fun. We picked up Megan on the way (we still have your scarf Megan!). Met up with Lisa, Evany, Steve and Erica, Neil, Tony McCarthy, and a very cool couple, Kate and Cian, who I hadn't met before. Kate is an artist; she took an encaustic class with Amy many moons ago.
I missed meeting Dana Robson; she left before I had a chance. But Amy chatted with her for a while and said she was the bee's knees. Eric and I bought a wonderful painting by Jason Vivona, of two fish. It was a terrific night that we topped off with pizza.
Then on sunny Sunday, Amy, Trish, and I went to Doe to see Dana's show. Very delicate beautiful pieces. Amy and I both found jeans (on sale!) that we talked each other into. We also popped into Egg and the Urban Mercantile on the way home, one of my very favorite stores.
In the afternoon we had a barbeque with lots of delicious grilled meats, salads, wine, and the usual suspects plus a few new faces. Good weekend. I'm sad it's over.
it all sounds wonderful!
