Here are some shots from our wonderful weekend in Yosemite.
This is our feet on top of a frozen lake early Saturday morning. It's quite scary to walk on hard water. In Ireland it gets cold, but never that cold. It's always a little hard to believe that it won't crack.
Eric's muse - Half Dome.
On our way into the park.
Our friend Ashli joined us on the trip. Other people were supposed to come, but they got the flu, so it was just the three of us. Ash is more of a nature girl than I am, so I was happy to have her there to go with Eric if he wanted to climb Half Dome or something. Instead, we did plenty of walking, and scrambling over rocks up at the waterfall, and drinking. She kept calling herself a "third wheel" (I pointed out that the term is "fifth wheel), but she wasn't; we were happy she was there. We all had a really fantastic time and laughed a lot.
You think walking on frozen water is unsettling, try driving on it. I learned how to drive on frozen lakes (my family ice-raced.)
True story!
