When I met Eric he had this cartoon on his fridge. It's still there, yellowing and fragile. I think it's one of the best cartoons ever. It makes me smile.

Nice blog - a good discovery for a Friday evening. Serendpity at work; I am in the Bay Area pretty much at random and thinking of hiking Big Basin tomorrow.
I saw your comment about Mike Giant's urban drawings, and it reminded be of Paul Madonna's book "All Over Coffee". Somewhat gentler stuff, but you might like it nonetheless.
